Based on a brand new Tool Case, the client, Hilti, wanted to present their annual report in a new and modern way, using the interactive power of Augmented Reality. All the 3D Assets where developed in-house and the main challenge was to find a perfect presentation possibility of Hilti's Headquarters and relations to each branch all over the world. This was achieved by highlighting special branches in which videos with annual achievements were presented by tapping on them.
The clue: The trigger for spawning the tool case in a realistic size was delivered to all Hilti employees by mail inside a brochure (alternatively downloaded online). Summarized: Hilti AR+, this way, took the corporate communication to another level.
Challenging was the shader-creation and problem-solving in terms of visualizing connectors between Hilti's branches. Furthermore, developing an alternative "2D Mode" for unsupported Devices to increase the audience. Also the optimization of the STEP files to guarantee optimal performance on casual mobile devices & tablets is always quite challenging, because you have to make sure the quality of the 3D assets still meet the requirements.
